When I was in Sarajevo, I met some drunk musicians wandering around the market at night who told me I had to check out this bar called the Underground.
When we found it the following night, the stage was packed and this great band was playing. I had to elbow my way up front to get a good seat, but after the bassist saw I was sketching he saved my seat when I had to get up for drinks. Great musical conversations between all the instruments and vocals.
I love drawing musicians, maybe its the challenge to capturing motion that I am attracted to, or the fact that I can share something back with them after they play in my drawings and hopefully return some inspiration.
